Today Sam was moved out of the ICU!  He is still at Harborview, but now on a floor where more than just family over the age of 12 can visit.  Sophie, Henry, and Lucy got to see him for the first time tonight.  Sophie was literally jumping up and down when I told her she was going to get to visit her dad tonight.  They were extremely excited.

The doctors discovered that Sam has 13 fractures so far, 8 broken ribs, a broken shoulder/clavicle, broken arm and wrist, possibly two broken legs, and they are still looking at and examining other parts.  They are trying to decide whether or not to put plates in his ribs since his ribs are not only broken, but also displaced.  They think the displacement is causing one of his lungs to get worse instead of better.  However, one lung IS healing on its own.  He is eating real food and keeps asking if he can go for a walk... I think it might be a little while before he's doing any struttin'.

The doctors and nurses have said that this is the fastest they have seen anyone heal and recover from these types of conditions.  He has shaved weeks off his recovery in just days.  I think it's safe to call him Superman.  I also think it's safe to say that the prayers ARE working.  Keep 'em coming!
