Yesterday was a great day for Sam.  He passed his breathing test, had his tubes taken out, and was able to talk and visit with family for a bit.  He really doesn't remember anything from the crash.  Now that he is breathing on his own they are slowly looking at other parts of his body to see what other damage was done.  They have ruled out a spinal injury, but have found an aneurysm in his neck that they are monitoring closely.  Soon, they will be able to take a look at everything from the waist down to see if there are any other injuries.

Allison had a sweet experience yesterday when the man that pretty much saved Sam's life came and visited her at the hospital.  I will let her share the specifics of that event, but it's very apparent that Sam had someone looking after him that day.  Without the help of that kind man and the prayers from all of you, Sam would probably not be here with us today.

Sam and Allison are both extremely appreciative of everything everyone has done for them.  Sam knows he has a long road ahead of him, but I think he feels comforted knowing that he has a whole army of people cheering him on.

More to come!
